New for 2010, WSMC has eliminated the 0-500cc Novice race class, replacing it with a dedicated Ninja Cup Novice class. Compete agains other Ninja 250s for trophies and tire contingency!

Wes Totsubo Wins Second Consecutive Ninja Cup Championship
WSMC's Ninja Cup series finale wrapped up with a wild finish, with the top 3 finishers separated by just 0.7 seconds at the checkered flag. Richard Barnett took the lead on the penultimate lap and hung on to the win - Totsubo's only defeat in 2009 - when Totsubo ran wide in the final corner of the race. Rickey Herd completed the top 3. Rickey Herd secured second place in the championshiop, with Richard Barnett third.

Totsubo Establishes New Lap Record
Under ideal conditions, Wes Totsubo edged Jeff Tigert's current lap record with a 1:40.338 lap time. Totsubo dominated the Ninja Cup race, with a 11 second gap over 2nd place Rickey Herd and 3rd place Richard Barnett.

Ninja Cup Finale at Willow Springs
Wes Totsubo wrapped up his class championship with a win in the Ninja Cup race. 2-5 places, all within a second of each other were Rickey Herd, Melissa Paris-Hayes, Richard Barnett and Joel Hermoso.

Ninjas Invade SCMINIGP at Grange
The awesome people at SCMINIGP invited me to drag the rental fleet to their November round at Grange racetrack. I was a bit skeptical about how the "big" 250s would do on the tight, small track, but turns out they were quite a bit of fun. Top speeds were in the 70mph range on the front straight in 4th gear, with most of the other track negotiated in 2nd gear. 5 of us battled in the Ninja race on Sunday, with Richard Barnett coming away with a victory over Ben Morse and Andrew Zabzdyr. I would like to thank all of the members of SCMINIGP for a great weekend with awesome hospitality. View Richard Barnett's onboard video of the Ninja race.

Jeff Tigert Sets New Lap Record:
RaceBikeRentals customer and former AFM #1 plate holder, Jeff Tigert, eclipsed Wes Totsubo's previous best time with a new lap record of 1:40.38. The top 5 competitors in the Ninja Cup race were all under the previous lap record and finished within .6 second of each other. See results.
